The SPARK of Opportunities
Strategically located right next to Brunei's well established oil and gas industry, this 271-hectare site in Sungai Liang is ideally positioned to flourish as a world class industrial and petrochemical hub.
Aptly named SPARK, the Sungai Liang Industrial Park SPARK is being administered by the Sungai Liang Authority (SLA), which was established by the government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, to support the development of a globally competitive industrial hub, through a streamlined administrative process (single-point access), centred in a business friendly environment. Its key functions and responsibilities include:
- To develop SPARK into a globally competitive industrial hub.
- To foster a business-friendly environment by providing a single point access of facilities and services to all investors and tenants at SPARK.
- To facilitate, support and encourage private and public investment.
- To enter into contracts, build infrastructure and deliver utilities and services.
- To procure, develop, construct, operate, manage and regulate infrastructure, utilities, and common user facilities and services for SPARK users.
